Single Parent Services

Good Samaritan’s casework services to single parents include the following options:

  • Preparation for parenting

  • Parenting support

  • Information and referrals to community resources

  • HiSET (high school equivalency) program 

  • The agency will provide home based services when necessary and all services to single parent are free of charge

High School Education Program

An alternative high school education program for young women, who are pregnant or parenting, to earn their HiSET credential.

  • Computer Based Learning

  • The HiSET Exam measures proficiency in five core subject areas:

    • Language Arts - Reading

    • Language Arts - Writing

    • Mathematics

    • Science

    • Social Studies

Students will need to be on-site for a portion of the coursework and will have the ability to work at home.

All students will have access to casework support services to assist in parenting support, future goal setting & accessing appropriate community services.

Childcare services may be available (for on-site coursework time)
